Football Predictons!


England Vs France.

Soon to start. The pundits are going on and on about it on ITV 1 now. They are going through ALOT of crap analysis on individual players, their career, where they are likely to end up and stuff like that.

All wonderful, useless info.

Generally I support England. Just like the previous World Cup (2002 i think), I have an england flag up somewhere in my room (beside the door actually), showing my support. (no need to stick it out of the window this time. I am no longer in Whitechapel.)

Much as I would like to be optimistic, England is not that likely to be winning this one. Would be good if they can make it a draw. The only way that they can win is if Barthez messses it up big time. Relying on Beckham, somehow it does not inspire any confidence on me. If David Seaman was still in goal, well, Beckham may be crap, but at least we wont be letting all the goals in. But now, we have someone even worse than Barthez. We have David James. France, on the other hand, although they have a practically open goal on their end, has Henry. He is a one man attacking team. Now you see him, now you dont. There is not one defender that he cannot outrun, not one goalkeeper he cant beat (other than Seman of course!). We can ignore how bad Barthez is in goal. Barthez can let in one, Barthex can let in two, But all you need is for someone, anyone to pass the ball to Henry up front, and its all over.

They say its all over. It is now!(for those out there, its the title of a late night sport gamshow on telly here)
